On February 16, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:30 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU. al-Farabi organized an Open Door Day dedicated to career orientation work with graduates of general education schools and gymnasiums of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main goal of the event is to provide professional orientation to school graduates in choosing a profession. According to the program of the meeting, a tour of the Faculty of Oriental Studies was organized for schoolchildren at 14.00 with the aim of familiarizing students with departments and research centers. Students also had the opportunity to see and take with them "origami" crafts, previously specially made by students of the Department of Japanese Studies. After that, the participants met in the first hall of the faculty, where a small buffet was organized for them. In the first hall, the deputy dean for educational, methodological and educational work, heads of departments, senior advisors, teachers, responsible for career guidance, demonstrated their pre-prepared presentations and provided complete information about the departments of the faculty, educational programs that can be mastered, and opportunities for studying abroad under the program of academic mobility and employment in the future. Students and teachers of such schools and colleges as school-gymnasium #123, school-gymnasium #153 named after A. Rozybakieva, lyceum #173, school #133, school #131, school #177, specialized school-lyceum took part in the event. №92 named after M.Gandhi, gymnasium №36, secondary school №6 and secondary school №39 of Ili district, Almaty region, secondary school "Daryn" and school named after S. Kerimbekova, Kaskelen, as well as the Kazakh-Chinese college. Students of the faculty organized a special concert program for the guests. They gave a speech in Arabic, sang and danced in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, read poems in Turkish and beautifully demonstrated all the beauty of Eastern cultures. Students also talked in detail about their educational process and their student life. At the end of the event, all participants took a commemorative photo, and the dean N.B. Yem personally handed school teachers letters of thanks for their active participation in the event. The day of open doors was held at a high organizational and content level.
