Meeting with the employer on the basis of the Sustainable Development Goal

Today, on 13.10.2023, the Deputy Head (Counselor) of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in India Azat Serikbossyn made a guest speech at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Azat Serikbossyn is a 2007 graduate of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The meeting was attended by teachers, undergraduates and students of the Indology Department. During the meeting with the Counselor, the perspectives of cooperation between KazNU and universities of India, achievements and challenges of Indology in Kazakhstan,  problems of employment of our graduates, bilateral relations, in particular, cultural and educational opportunities between India and Kazakhstan have also been discussed. The issues of scientific studies in the field of Indology in Kazakhstan and the support of teachers and young scientists from the side of Embassy were talked about: the students offered to open clubs for the exchange of experience with Indian and Pakistani students studying in Kazakhstan. In addition, Azat Serikbossyn shared his memories of his student life in our university and interesting moments of his career. At the end of the meeting, teachers and students exchanged warm wishes, took pictures with Azat Serikbossyn.
