The Department of Middle East and South Asia of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Indian Cultural Center named after Swami Vivekananda held an online conference in honor of World Hindi Day, which was attended by teachers, as well as students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the Indian branch of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

In social networks and a number of mass media, information was published about the alleged sale of the university's land plots by the leadership of KazNU to a private person. Earlier, the university presented to the public its position on this issue and officially denied involvement in any illegal actions.

Thus, there is a purposeful whipping up and unwinding of the situation with negative comments, aimed at discrediting the university and its leadership.

International Journal of Mathematics and Physics, published by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has been accepted for indexing in Emerging Sources Citation Index of Web of Science Core Collection database (Clarivate Analytics).

KazNU named after al-Farabi took part in the International scientific-practical conference "Global Forum al-Farabi", which took place in Islamad (Pakistan) and became one of the final events of the 1150th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and thinker in the outgoing year.
