Al-Farabi KazNU and the Anti-Corruption Agency of Kazakhstan in Almaty signed a comprehensive action plan aimed at intensifying anti-corruption activities in higher education.

Today, on 15 October, Sultan Sartaevich Sartaev – Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, one of the patriarchs of the jurisprudence of Kazakhstan – would have turned 93. We recall the milestones in the biography and achievements of the outstanding scientist who left his bright trace in the history of Al-Farabi KazNU and Kazakh legal science.

International academic mobility is one of the most important areas of activity of Al-Farabi KazNU, thanks to the active development of which lecturers, Doctoral students and Master's students undergo internships in prestigious universities of the world, such as the University of Illinois in Chicago, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.

Recently, with the support of the Department of Social Development of the city of Almaty, the Public Fund «Mangilik Kazakhstan» and the Department of Philosophy of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, an international online conference «The influence of the great scientist Al-Farabi on world civilization» was held, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the thinker Abu Nasir Al-Farabi. The event was attended by domestic and foreign scientists and researchers.

The teachers of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took an active part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference: «Social Partnership for Environmental Protection and Green Growth», which was held in the online format.

This year, the international POSCO Asia Fellowship Corporation awards a scholarship to 10 students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has been designated as the coordinator of the scientific anticorruption expertise of the draft regulatory legal acts.

Within the framework of the «Rukhani Zhangiru» program and Elbasy’s article «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe», Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in cooperation with international partners has made a series of documentary films devoted to Al-Farabi, which were shown on the air of domestic and foreign TV channels.

The Al-Farabi Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues a series of online Science Talks dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great thinker, comprehension of his creative heritage and its significance for contemporaries, as well as current issues of science.

Aigerim Borangazy, a student of Al-Farabi KazNU, has won the Internet Olympiad «Electoral Systems of the World» among the students of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, in the competition the «Best Debater».
