Al-Farabi KazNU successfully implements the project «100 Books», aimed at the formation of important moral and spiritual landmarks for students, introducing them to literature and reading. Al-Farabi KazNU held the International Conference of students and young scientists «The Farabi’s World» and the contest «Best Young Scientist» in online format.

The annual contest of the best innovative projects and business incubators of the University was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the International Scientific Conference of young scientists and students «The World of Farabi».

Teachers of the Department of Biotechnology of Al-Farabi KazNU is actively using distance education technologies and streaming training during quarantine. They share their experience with colleagues from other Universities in Kazakhstan.

The process of distance learning of students has been implementing successfully at the Military Department of Al-Farabi KazNU. Control and monitoring of the quality and frequency of distance education has been carried out by a specially created task force under the leadership of the Head of the Military Department, Reserve Colonel O.V. Azhimov.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Care of Al-Farabi KazNU, jointly with leading pulmonologists, virologists, and epidemiologists from Canada (McGill University) and Germany (Philippe University in Marburg), prepared a series of video sessions and video interviews with leading foreign experts on the experience of preventing the spread, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced Kazakhstani Universities to switch to distance learning. Al-Farabi KazNU’s students continue to broaden their horizons and expand knowledge by reading books during quarantine. The project «100 Must-read Books for KazNU Students», initiated by Rector of the University Galym Mutanov, has gained a special significance and relevance today.

The coronavirus epidemic has become a global pandemic. Kazakhstan is also experiencing the effects of this disaster. In this situation, every Kazakhstani must support the state in the fight against the epidemic.
