 The «Week of International Journalism», dedicated to the International Children's Day of Television and Radio Broadcasting, established by UNICEF in 1991, has been taking place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Students have many questions before graduation, and one of the important issues among them is employment. The Department of the Far East invited N.M. Dzhaksykeldinov, the Executive Director of the JSC «Shinhan Bank», as a speaker to deliver a lecture on the topic: What person you should be before graduation?

On the eve of International Women's Day, Al-Farabi KazNU, together with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has launched an educational project for girls on the development of UniSat nanosatellites.

The presentation of the book «Catalog of Vertebrate Animals Collection of the Biological Museum of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University» by Kylyshbai Musabayov took place. The publication in three languages containes the result of many years of work on systematizing the Museum’s unique collection fund.

On the initiative of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and UNESCO in Kazakhstan, the 7th International Winter School of Journalism and Communication dedicated to the World Radio Day and the celebration of the anniversary of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi was held on February 13-15, 2020.

 An educational event entitled «Infectious Diseases» was held at the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Compounds, Natural Compounds, and Polymers of Al-Farabi KazNU.

This event is one of the seminars "EPOCH and PERSONALITY" project, which started in 2014 under the guidance of the Scientific and Expert Council of Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan. There was the seminar in In February 2020, dedicated to the life and works of the famous scientist, Ogaz Arystangalievich Sultanyaev, author of works on onomastics and on Shokan Ualikhanov's creative heritage.
