Al-Farabi KazNU Young Scientist Council wins the “Best Young Scientist Council” Contest organized by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Al-Farabi KazNU actively participates in international scientific and educational programs of the European Union. University Rector Galym Mutanov and EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan Sven-Olov Karlsson have discussed issues of further deepening strategic cooperation.

On the basis of the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies a methodical seminar for teachers of the Korean language in Almaty was held on the topic: Methods of preparing students for the Topik exams.

At the closing ceremony of the 15th jubilee work season of «Zhasyl El» Republican Student Groups, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was declared the winner in the nomination «The Best Educational Institution».

An open lecture on the new educational program «Robotics Systems» was held in the students’ house as part of the event «Days of the Department of Mechanics in the Dormitory».

The meeting of round table named as “Kazakh publishing: past and future” was in the conference room № 230 on 31^st October 2019. This meeting was organized by department of publishing-editing and art of journalism faculty.

The International Scientific-Practical Conference «The Domestic System of Mass Communication: Challenges, Trends, Opportunities» dedicated to the 75th anniversary of a public personality and statesman, writer, journalist, President of the Academy of Journalists, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sagymbay Kabashevich Kozybaev was held at the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU.

The sports event «Faster, Stronger and Higher!», dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Department of Mechanics, was held at the sports complex of Al-Farabi KazNU. The Deputy Head of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty D. Turalina organized this sports competition.

A methodical seminar on «Teaching Methods for Topik Examinations» was held for teachers of Korean language in Almaty at the Far East Department of Oriental Studies Department.

The annual traditional competition of amateur performances «1st Year Talents» was held at the U.A. Zholdasbekov Students’ Palace. More than 3,000 thousand applications from first-year students have been submitted for participation in the competition.
