Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrates the International Youth Day.

Medical doctors from South Korea conduct a charity event for residents of Almaty and employees of Al-Farabi KazNU.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University remains the leader among all the HEI's in county in the number of educational grants received. More than 5.7 thousand of the best school graduates have chosen KazNU this year and received a state educational grant, a significant part of them are holders of  «Altyn Belgi», winners of international and republican competitions. 

The VII International Conference on Nanomaterials and Advanced Energy Storage Systems -  INESS-2019 is being held at Al-Farabi KazNU. The event is organized jointly with Nazarbayev University, National Laboratory Astana, and Institute of Batteries.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will host an orientation week for first-year students from August 19 to 30, 2019.

Al-Farabi KazNU began work on providing places in the houses of students on the eve of a new academic year.  

In order to implement the state program «Ruhani Zhangiru» and the article by the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev entitled «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe», Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has opened the All-Farabi’s House-Museum in Turkey. The project is implemented by KazNU together with the Istanbul Mayor with the support of the Turkic Council, TURKSOY and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkey.

KazNU is actively continuing work on landscaping the campus. 18 thousand square meters of asphalt pavement has been renovated, and there were laid 2 thousand square meters of new pedestrian walkways from colored pavers.  Much attention this year is paid to greenery and building of flowerbeds. The construction of the landscape design has been completed up to 97%.

«Parasat» Trade Union of workers of Al-Farabi KazNU has supported the republican charity event «The Way to School» and handed out portfolios and school supplies to future first-graders.

Young scientists have defended their PhD thesis at the Department of Press and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
