Doctoral student of the specialty of «Logistics» of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU Askhat Serikbekuly made a presentation at the roundtable meeting of the Institute of Economics of the MES RK.

From 12 to 14 July, 2019 the Journalism Faculty organized the International Summer School for Journalism and Communication dedicated to the 85th anniversary of KazNU and the 25th anniversary of the «Túrkistan» newspaper in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan.

Al-Farabi KazNU and Istanbul University jointly hold the ІІІ International Symposium «Pioneers of Science and Technology in Eurasia», which began its work at the Center for Eurasian Applied and Scientific Research of Farabi (FAMER) in Istanbul. 

Graduate of Al-Farabi KazNU, a silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Eldos Smetov has won the Grand Prix in Judo in Budapest.

Al-Farabi KazNU supported the literary relay dedicated to the 175th Anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher and thinker Abay Kunanbayev. 

The opening ceremony of Muhammad Ali Jinnah Center was held at Al-Farabi KazNU. The event was organized by the Faculty of Oriental Studies with the support of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kazakhstan.

Al-Farabi KazNU and the University of Tsukuba (Japan) are expanding cooperation in the framework of the «Campus in Campus» project. Such an agreement was reached during the meeting of KazNU’s Rector, Academician Galym Mutanov with a delegation from a Japanese University headed by Vice President Caroline Benton.

For the first time in Kazakhstan, students one of the prestigious world universities - La Sapienza Universita di Roma – have graduated from the MA studies of KazNU under the double diploma program.

Presentation of the book «Introduction to Etymology» by Olzhas Suleimenov was held at the Faculty of Philology and World Languages of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

An advanced training courses entitled «Environment Radioactivity Monitoring-2019» for nuclear industry workers was held on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Institute of Nuclear Physics, the event was jointly organized with the Japan Atomic Energy Agency.
