Within the framework of the Japanese Studies week, a meeting was held with Professor Inoue Ken and undergraduate Yoshida Shogo from Kouchi University (Tokyo, Japan).

The Department of the Far East has been working closely with the Japan Foundation for the Development of International Relations for more than 20 years, promoting the Japanese language and culture throughout the world. The Japanese Foundation was established in 1972 as a special organization under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and since that time it has been the core of cultural exchange, which Japan carries out with the countries of the world community.

The Republican Subject Olympiad in Foreign Languages was held on February 22-23, 2019 in Almaty on the basis of Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.

He also shared his experience of achievements and answered to the questions of students.

A meeting of students of the specialty "Geodesy and Cartography" with the Regional Representative for Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Central Asia "HERE Technologies" Azhar Nurtazina took place at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

February 15, 2019 in Almaty in the Ice Palace Halyk Arena was held the Republican championship on robotics "IITU Robocon 2019" among universities. It was attended by 15 of the best university teams in the country. 

The Iranian Studies of the Middle East and South Asia Department at the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a meeting with the General Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Bahodur Nazir on the theme “People's Unity is the Most Valuable Asset”.

Graduate students of the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics (A. Assembayev, G. Zhumabayeva, A. Kyrygyzbaeva, A. Lemisova, A. Nizaliev, A. Zhienalina and A. Abdrahman) underwent international training at ECM Space Technologies GmbH, a subsidiary of the Berlin Technical University (Germany) under the internship program "Industry 4.0 - Digital Revolution."

On February 18, at the rectorate meeting of the University, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masud Sheikh Zeinuddin and the Director of the Cultural Delegation under the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan Ali Kabriai Zadeh awarded scholarships.
