Faculty of International Relations Al-Farabi KazNU was visited by representatives of the international organization "Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction". Within the framework of a lively conversation, the representatives of the center discussed key aspects of ensuring the security of states against natural disasters. 

In an article "A look into the Future. Modernization of the  Public Consciousness" the President of the country N. Nazarbayev, speaking about the new global reality, stressed that "the Public Consciousness requires not only the elaboration of principles of modernization, but also specific projects that would allow to meet the challenges of the time." The academic community and universities took the great attention in this work.

In an article, "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity" the President of the country N. In this work, special attention is paid to the academic community and universities. 

The Chancellor of the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), the crown Prince of Perlis His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin of Jamalullail visited KazNU. 

In the walls of al-Farabi KazNU was held an international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of doctor of Philology, Professor A. Kyraubayeva “Kazakh literature and national pedagogy”. 

At al-Farabi KazNU was held a teleconference with higher education institutions "Academic honesty in the context of modernization of public consciousness", organized by the Kazakh Agency for civil service Affairs and anti-corruption jointly with Nazarbayev University.

Immersive journalism is a new digital platform for the transmission of news, reports and narrations in the virtual reality system, is new in the media of Kazakhstan and requires studying its influence on the audience.

Today the agreement on the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan is further developed. This is evidenced by the round table held jointly with the head of the Embassy of Pakistan in Kazakhstan, the staff of the National Library and the teaching staff of the Department of Indology, of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farab dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the independence of Pakistan , the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, as well as the 140th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, philosopher, spiritual leader of Pakistan the camp of Allam Mohammad Iqbal.

At the faculty of pre-University education of KazNU named after al-Farabi was held a meeting with the Consulate General of China with the participation of students of Almaty universities. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to create a joint Russian-Kazakh research centers on the basis of regional institutions of higher education, as he stated at the 14th forum of interregional cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan.
