The opening ceremony of the XV Republican debate tournament for the Cup of “Nur Otan” was held al-Farabi KazNU.

11/3/2017 Master Class by the South Korean teachers and Diplomats on Department of Far Eastern.

The Department of Far Eastern and the South Korean diplomats conducted master classes on Korean cooks for korean and japan students. In the framework of the Week of Korean Studies at KazNU on the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a large celebration of the Korean traditionally dishes.

The 3rd International Autumn PR School “The media and PR communications: sustainable development strategy” was held in the al-Farabi's library on the 19- 20th of October. Famous people from media, cinema, policy and journalism spheres were invited as a conference’s speakers.

The traditional Week of Korean Studies started in KazNU after al-Farabi from October 30, 2017. The Department of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East plays an important role in enhancing mutual understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. For more than 25 years, the Department of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East has been carrying out a traditional event annually: Week of Korean Studies at KazNU named after al-Farabi.

10/27/2017 About the difference between cases through thousands of kilometers or KazNU reduces the distances between partner universities.

October 26, 2017 in Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi, a special lecture was conducted on the topic "Difference between cases in Korean and Russian language" by Professor of Khanyang University Ham Ge-Im.
