16^thof November, 2015 at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi at the Faculty of Oriental Studies , Department of the Far East was held, which has become a tradition, "Week of Korean Studies."

Korean Week has become a nice tradition for many years in the Department of Far East and Korean Studies.

In November 11, 2015 in Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East in the framework of the project "Campus in Campus" was the official opening of scientific educational center for the study of Japan and Central Asia (University of Tsukuba office in Almaty).

November 6, 2015 at the Faculty of International Relations held two assembly lectures by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway Ole Johan Bjornoy and by Nuncio of the Holy See (Vatican) Miguel Maury Buendia for bachelor students, masters and Ph.Ds.

The space flight of the first Kazakh cosmonaut Aidyn Aimbetov from Kazkosmos, becomes one of the important page in the modern history of Kazakhstan. Despite all the difficulties Aidyn Aimbetov is the first cosmonaut, who was sent into space with Kazakhstani passport. His visit to one of the best universities in Kazakhstan - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, became landmark event of the year for students and university staff.

On the 29th October 2015 Department of Science and Innovation has organized a workshop with the official representative of Thomson Reuters in Kazakhstan and CIS countries Darya Bukhtoyarova. The workshop was called «Selection of an international conference on the Web of Science platform» and «Preparation of articles for publication to EndNote Online».

On 28th October 2015a a round table discussion on "Key priorities of socio-economic and environmental development of the country in the context of global challenges", dedicated to the preliminary results of research conducted by the grants of MES of RK had taken place in the Higher School of Economics and Business.

In Astana on October 26 at the Scientific Library of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov was a presentation of the first 2 numbers of the new series «Bulletin of the KazNU. Religious studies series».

Scientific Research Institute (SRI) of the Problem of Ecology, the Center for Economic Research (CER) of the Higher School of Economics and Business and the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on September 18, 2015 was organized the International Round Table: "Green Economy –the innovative vector of development of modern science." The round table was translated in the on-line platform G-Global.
