Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a representative of the Academie France Médias Monde, Chairman of the France 24, journalist Antoine Cormery, Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute and the Geo-Energetics Center Christine Bouteiller. During the meeting the parties discussed prospects for cooperation and a number of other issues.

The Al-Farabi Library hosted a conference "Historical Figures - Memory of the Country", dedicated to the 110^th anniversary of the prominent statesman Dinmukhammed Akhmetovich Kunaev.

The grand opening of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altai Studies took place in the Al-Farabi library of the Kazakh National University.

Professor of Formulation Science at the Reading School of Pharmacy, Vitaliy Khutoryanskiy gave a leadership lecture at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic "Smart Materials in Medicine".

On the initiative and with the active support of the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, about fifty faculty members and young scientists of the university had a great opportunity to gain valuable experience through the internship at Akdeniz University. The group of specialists visited the city of Antalya and enjoyed local sightseeing.

The presentation of the book "Graduates of Independence" took place in the lecture hall named after Tursynbek Kakishev of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. It was attended by well-known scientists,professors, graduates of the faculty and students.
