A forum for young scientists and students dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by: Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, representatives of the management and teaching staff of the University, doctoral students, undergraduates and students. Opening the forum, KazNU Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the special importance of the event on the eve of the Republic Day.

The debate session of the I International Congress of Archivists "Archives, Museums and Libraries: Changing Trajectory in the Preserving National Memory" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Presentation of the book dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China "Kazakhstan-China: Three Decades of Good-Neighborly and Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" was held at the scientific library of Al-Farabi at KazNU.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the meeting of the Professor of the Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Civilization of Washington University Talant Maukanuly and Professor of the University of Giessen Michael Reinhard. Issues such as the study of Turkic languages, importance of research based on originals and the preservation of the common Turkic heritage were touched upon during the meeting.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Professor of Tsukuba University Takashi Ninomiya at Al–Farabi Kazakh University.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev has met with the President of Qatar University Hassan Rashid Al-Dirham at the Kazakh-Qatari Investment Forum in Astana. Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation.

 Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a delegation of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The head of the university thanked the guests for their visit to KazNU.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ranked 1001-1200 in the Times Higher Education (THE) WUR - 2023 world university ranking. Three Kazakhstani universities entered the world ranking, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ranked the first place, followed by L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (1201-1500) and Satbayev University (1501+).

The Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi hosted a meeting with the director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Yanis Ben Amor.
