In the framework of the official visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan an opening ceremony of a branch of the Al-Farabi  Kazakh National University was held.

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited a delegation headed by Mr. Luc Levy, commissioner for special assignments of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. During the visit, the parties discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation and the transfer of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute to KazNU.

At the regular meeting of the Academic Council of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the measures on modernization of the educational process, as well as the implementation of the conditions of the collective agreement of the university were discussed.
