On the eve of the International Women's Day on March 8, a new cozy coffee house "The library" was opened at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Now teachers and students, as well as guests of KazGUgrad, can start their day with delicious, fragrant morning coffee.

Al-Farabi KazNU will continue to lead the Global Hub of the United Nations “Academic Impact” Program (UNAI) for Sustainable Development. This was announced by the Head of the Department of Partnerships and Global Interactions of the "Academic Impact" program of the UN Robert Skinner. This is of particular importance in the year of the 30^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's accession to the UN.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and theoretical conference "Diachronic paradigm in Turkic studies", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Doctor of Philology, Professor Markhabat Tomanov.

KazNU hosted a seminar dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's accession to the United Nations.

Today, the field of small spacecraft of the CubeSat standard is developing at a rapid pace. Because of this, many universities and non-governmental companies in the world have been able to launch their own spacecraft. They are used in many areas of human activity, such as scientific research, education, agriculture, land surveying, cartography, etc.

Currently, many foreign innovative companies and leading universities are actively engaged in the development and creation of scientific, educational and commercial nanosatellites. Such satellites have gained popularity due to the fact that their creation does not require significant financial costs compared to traditional satellites. In addition, it became possible to train students through their participation in practical work, containing all the main stages.

The innovative potential of the Kazakhstani economy can be increased only through the construction of an effective scientific and innovative system, the basis of which will be powerful research universities and innovation clusters. Developing this strategic concept, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set the goal of forming science and education as separate sectors of the economy.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is expanding cooperation with foreign colleagues, achieving high results and new opportunities. Agreements on bilateral cooperation were signed with 550 universities and research centers in 50 countries of the world. Over 100 teachers have improved their qualifications in the world's top 300 universities.

In today's world of technology, there are many ways to produce energy. There will be a warehouse at any production site. But so far there is no possibility to save the main product of the energy sector, i.e. electricity. In the future, large-scale power plants should focus on industrial energy storage and production of various power storage facilities. After all, the rapid development of renewable energy sources has made this task the main issue on the agenda.
