The great Charter of universities

At al-Farabi Kazakh national University in the framework of the 19th anniversary of the great Charter of Universities under the auspices of the Observatory of the Magna Charta and the Ministry of education and science of Kazakhstan began its work seminar "the internationalization on the path-oriented values."

 The event was attended by the heads of the Observatory of the great Charter of Universities, representatives of the MES RK, and University rectors-signatories of the Central Asian countries and members of international organizations in the field of education.

The seminar opens the possibility of universities in the Central Asian region to follow a strategy of internationalization based on the values set in the great Charter of Universities. Opening the seminar, first Vice-rector of al-Farabi KazNU Mukhambetkali Burkitbayev noted the importance of internationalization at universities and in society. This trend has been gaining momentum, and that KazNU was one of the first in Kazakhstan, which in 2003 signed an agreement with universities of the great Charter, today it gives positive results. The seminar will last two days.
