The idea of "Noblesse Oblige" and scholarship

The ceremony of awarding scholarships from the Association of small and medium business to the students of the Department of Korean studies Department of the Far East, faculty of Oriental studies was held at al-Farabi KazNU.

The newly elected President of the Association of small and medium business Mr. Kim Seong-Tae participated at the ceremony. The Association follows the idea of "Noblesse Oblige" and is engaged in assisting in the society of Kazakhstan. This year the Association increased the number from 3 to 5 fellows (in the amount of 500,000 Tg. for 5 people). This kind of awarding scholarships was in the past year and served as another step to establish relations between Korean studies Chair of the Department of the Far East and to South Korean employers of Almaty. And also, it is worth noting that now the meeting is held annually and has become a tradition. This scholarship helps raising the interest of students to Korean studies, as well the development and strengthening of further cooperation in education and business between KazNU and the South Korean employers of Almaty.
