2/23/2018Meeting of Indologists with the Director of the Indian Cultural Center Shri Dhanvir Singh Ravat
The department of Indology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting of teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of the department of Indology with Shri Dhanvir Singh Ravat, the Director of the Indian Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was held in the center of Mahatma Gandhi, during which all participants had the opportunity to ask questions of interest to them. First of all, participants expressed their great gratitude for the meeting and asked Mr. Ravat whether the Indian Cultural Center could help in Hindi studies and provide additional modern educational material with audio and video applications, and provide additional dictionaries as well. It is well known that fluent and correct speaking in foreign language and putting the correct pronunciation is possible by training with a native speaker, so the participants expressed a great desire and the need to provide a professor from India. Another of the most important issues was to provide the teachers with the opportunity to periodically improve their qualifications in higher educational institutions in India. Mr. Dhanvir Singh Ravat assured that he would do everything possible to solve the tasks set.
During the conversation, both sides agreed to jointly hold a conference in the center of Mahatma Gandhi as well, one of which is the "International Conference on Hindi", which is held every 3 years alternating venue. In 2018, the "International Conference in Hindi" will be held from 18 to 21 August in the Republic of Mauritius, in which teachers and students studying Hindi can take part.
