Meeting with the filmmaker

On October 26, 2018 in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi was held a meeting of students with the film crew of Akan Sataev's film - «Бизнесмены» on the eve of the premiere of this film. This event was organized by the Faculty of International Relations within the framework of the program «Рухани жаңғыру».

The meeting was attended by a Kazakh film director, screenwriter, producer Akan Sataev, actor Sanjar Madi, producer of the film Ernar Kurmashev and blogger Beibit Alibekov.

During the event, the guests talked about how nowadays Kazakhstan's cinema is developing,about the possibilities of native cinema to get on the world stage, the importance of audience interest in native films, the problems and prospects of cinema in Kazakhstan and one of the most anticipated premieres - «Бизнесмены».

Akan Sataev said he was glad to talk with students of the KazNU about the film «Бизнесмены» ,since the film’s episodes were shot on the territory of KazNU town. He said that from the childhood he dreamed of devoting his life to the film industry, so after finishing the school he entered to the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenov. Akan Sataev began his career in cinema and television with the filming of commercials. And to the students' question about how to become a successful director, he replied "that for this you need to have commitment, love for work and talent."

The meeting excited an extraordinary interest among students who expressed their gratitude and admiration for such films as «Она», «Жау жүрек мың бала», «Районы», «Анаға апарар жол», «Рэкетир» and others. Participants of the meeting received answers to their questions, and made a selfie with the stars of Kazakhstan's cinema.
