Meeting with Kouсhi University Representatives

Within the framework of the Japanese Studies week, a meeting was held with Professor Inoue Ken and undergraduate Yoshida Shogo from Kouchi University (Tokyo, Japan).

The main event of the meeting was the lecture of the undergraduate Yoshida Shogo on the topic “Medicine and Health in Japan”. In his lecture, the undergraduate talked about the health care system in Japan, the secrets of Japanese longevity and the protection of mother and child health. After his speech, undergraduates of the first course of the Japanese Studies Department spoke about the health care system in Kazakhstan. Then a round table was held, during which students of 3-4 courses, undergraduates asked questions to Japanese experts and shared their views on health, longevity, differences in health systems in the two countries, etc. Professor's lectures were visited by students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers of the department. The professor prepared for the listeners a unique presentation, thematically covering the main aspects of the history of Japan, which is very useful for students of the language, culture and history of this country. Starting with general theoretical knowledge, during the meeting the professor described in detail his studies, shared the results, commenting on all terms unfamiliar to listeners. At the end of the meeting, those present had the opportunity to ask the professor questions of concern to them, for which they received detailed and clear answers. The conduct of such meeting is of great importance for the Japaneseologists and promotes the strengthening of cooperation in the field of science and education with the universities of Japan.
