U. Dzholdasbekov Competition

The IX International Competition of Research Works of students on Mechanics and Mathematics named after Umirbek Dzholdasbekov has started its work in Al-Farabi KazNU.

The opening of the traditional competition began with the laying of flowers at the U. Dzholdasbekov’s monument. Pupils from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan take part in the competition.

Rector of KazNU, Galym Mutanov, made a welcoming speech, highlighting Omirbek Dzholdasbekov’s invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakhstani science. «He laid the foundation of this educational institution and raised it to the world level. New specialties and research centers, laboratories and the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan were created. The participation of the younger generation in the competition confirms the continuity and traditions», - said the University Rector.

The main objective of the Competition is to support gifted students, their interest in research work in the field of Mathematics and Mechanics.

In the International Competition, young talents will compete in various scientific projects and intellectual works during three days.
