Best Practices in Translation

The Department of Diplomatic Translation of the Faculty of International Relations held an International Scientific-Methodical Seminar «Modern Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and Translation».

The event was attended by more than 80 foreign language teachers of universities and colleges of the Republic, as well as foreign Professors from Canada, France and Switzerland. Professor of the University of Geneva A.Akkari made a very informative and interesting online presentation. His presentation gave impetus to the discussion between the participants of the seminar, who actively asked questions.

Scientist from the University of Lakehead (Canada) Seth Agbo also made a presentation entitled «Modern Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages in the XXI Century», and Professor Khalid Fates (France) delivered a lecture for French teachers on the topic «Teaching French for Special Purposes» as well.

The Seminar has become a good platform for the exchange of experience, new methods and technologies for teaching foreign languages and translation.
