Al-Farabi KazNU took part in the work of the IV Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE), which was held in Istanbul (Turkey).
The purpose of the event is to promote the development of cooperation in the field of higher education in the Eurasian region. The Summit was organized by the Eurasian Association of Universities.
The event brought together representatives from more than 200 HEI’s and educational organizations from 70 countries of the world.
At the educational exhibition, which was opened during the Summit, KazNU, as the leading University of Kazakhstan, presented its pavilion with educational programs and research projects. Participants and guests of the event with great interest acquainted with the University’s achievements and expressed their appreciation for its educational, scientific, and innovative potential.
The Head of KazNU delegation, Professor Mehmet Arslan, highlighted that participation in such events allows to gain wide experience in export of education. «KazNU is one of the first in the country to turn from the import of education to its export. Today, more than 900 foreign students study at the University and this figure is increasing annually. For example, this year more than a hundred students are expected to enter the University from Turkey», - said the Vice-Rector for Commercialization.
EURIE is the third largest exhibition platform for higher education and science in the world, the purpose of which is to popularize the scientific and educational potential of the Eurasian region in the world, as well as the development of partnership between the HEI’s of Turkey and Eurasian countries.
