Republican Olympiad on the history of Kazakhstan and world history

In 27-29 of March, at the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology was successfully held the annual Republican Olympiad on the history of Kazakhstan and world history. School students of 10-11 grades of secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in this Republican Olympiad. In accordance with the rules of organizing and conducting the Olympiad, the first stage was carried out in the online test mode and tested 1640 students. Of which 1314 were admitted to the second stage. In accordance with the general rules of the second round, participants had to send research projects: Historical study of local lore, Museums of Kazakhstan, Archaeological monuments of Kazakhstan, Culture and life of the peoples of Kazakhstan, Place of Kazakhstan in world communities, Great Silk Road, Medieval civilization of the East, Alash movement, Modern Kazakhstan culture, Historical personalities of Kazakhstan, Sacral tourism.

As a result, about 283 works were received. Of these, 147 were devoted to the history of Kazakhstan and 136 works on world history. By decision of a specially created board of the expert group, 30 papers were sent to the final. The second stage took place in Almaty, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, based on the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology. On March 29, the winners of the second round were announced and were awarded with certificates and diplomas.
