Internship at the university of Oxford

Kazakh National University 26 Master degree students are undertaking a scientific internship at the University of Oxford, №1 university in the list of Times Higher Education World University Ranking.

It is the first time that a group of students from Kazakhstan has had an opportunity to undertake a scientific internship in the university with a time-honored history. The internship was organized by the School of Geography and the Environment of the University of Oxford. Meanwhile, the program of the internship was developed on the basis of a multidisciplinary approach. The intensive programme constitutes a symbiosis of theory and practice: master students not only listen to the lectures of the leading professors of Oxford University but also present their own research, study methodology, and planning of scientific researches and projects on specific examples. Particular attention should be given to the fact that the students are being acquainted with the infrastructure of the University of Oxford. Visiting laboratories uniting researchers from various fields of science – geography, biology, chemistry, physics, archeology, etc., aroused genuine interest among the graduate students, and the readiness of the professors of the Oxford University to cooperate will undoubtedly lead to the development of effective scientific collaboration of Al-Farabi KazNU and the best university in the world!
