It should be noted that the University of Tsukuba is one of the most highly rated and largest universities in Japan. Tsukuba University's main Global Campus-in-Campus (CIC) project aims to transform Higher Education for a better future through Cross-Border University Initiatives. Within the framework of CIC, close and fruitful partnerships are established with leading universities in the world. Within the framework of cooperation, the sharing of campuses in partner institutions is provided, which allows the parties to use relevant research and educational resources without any national or institutional barriers. University partners (CIC) are selected on a competitive basis, taking into account and analyzing relevant achievements.
Under the CIC scheme, partner universities are expected to increase the mobility of exchange students, faculty and administrative staff. By 2023, the University of Tsukuba plans to create CIC with 13 foreign partners, including the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
As part of the discussion of the Campus-in-Campus interaction program, a seminar was held with the participation of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Tsukuba Prof. Satoshi Shimizu.
During the talks, the parties discussed a plan for further collaboration between universities, where agreement was reached on cooperation in a variety of areas of natural and humanitarian areas.
The parties also discussed the issue of opening an office for the Al-Farabi Center on the basis of the Campus-in-Campus agreement. The corresponding contract is planned to be signed during the September visit of the delegation of the University of Tsukuba to KazNU.
