On April 27, the 23rd Central Asian Oratory Contest in Japanese was held at the Bishkek Humanitarian University (BSU). It was attended by 15 contestants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The participants of the competition, 3-4 year students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU, Sandugash Baltabay, Gulden Tapenova, Saulet Bakytkeldi and Madi Bazilbek demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Japanese. During the event, students shared their experiences and familiarized themselves with the culture of the Kyrgyz people.
The competition was organized by the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in the Kyrgyz Republic and K. Karasaev BSU, with the support of the Embassy of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Japanese Foundation.
As a result of the language competition, the 4th year student of KazNU Madi Bazilbek won the fifth place and received an award from the Alumni Association of the Japanese branch of the Belarusian State University. All participants were awarded with incentive prizes and diplomas.
In addition, Japanese teachers took part in an international seminar on modern methods of teaching students.
