Indian Cadets - guests of the Military Department of KazNU

The delegation of the cadets from India visited the Military Department of the University in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between Al-Farabi KazNU and the National Cadet Corps of the Republic of India.

On the first day, the Indian delegation was received by the First Vice-Rector of KazNU, academician Mukhambetkali Burkitbayev, who told about the history, achievements and modern life of the advanced University of Kazakhstan.

Indian cadets familiarized themselves with the teaching material base of the Department, and they have attended classes, listened to the introductory lecture devoted to the «85 years of the Military Department of Al-Farabi KazNU». The Head of the Military Department, reserve colonel O.Azhimov spoke about the achievements of graduates and the system of training reserve officers in the country.

Students enrolled in the field of «Military Journalism» and «Military Psychology» conducted a master-test for cadets in the basics of military psychology and journalism.

The cadets also met with students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, got acquainted with the library and the University Museum, the «Keremet» Student-Service Center, and they also have visited the «Bobek» National Center.

At the end of the visit, a round table was held, during which Reserve Colonel O.Azhimov presented to the guests souvenirs and expressed hope for further cooperation to strengthen friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and India.

The Head of the Indian delegation, Colonel Pandey Shirish expressed his gratitude to the leadership of KazNU and the Military Department for the warm welcome, meaningful meetings, and on behalf of the National Cadet Corps invited students studying at the Military Department to visit India to celebrate the country's independence.
