Governmental examination of the knowledge

The Department of the Far East together with the Education Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, the National Institute of Korean History under the Government of the Republic of Korea, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Almaty organized a Competition on the knowledge of Korean history.

The competition was attended by 399 students of higher education institutions, as well as colleges and secondary schools of Kazakhstan. Last year, a similar competition was held in the United States(city.Los Angeles). This year this honor was awarded to the leading university of Kazakhstan.

Korean history knowledge test demonstrated a high level of popularity of the Department of Korean studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Cooperation with the new government agency of Korea, which deals with foreign Korean studies, will be a new stage in the development of Korean studies in Kazakhstan, the leader of which was recognized Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Director of Almaty Center of Educationat the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Almaty Nam Hyun Woo showed his gratitude to the Department of Far East for the high level of organization.
