Mechanisms for Preventing Corruption in Education

A webinar «Mechanisms for Prevention of Corruption in Education» was held at Al-Farabi KazNU in the online format. The event was organized by «Sunkar» Union of Undergraduate and Master Students with the participation of the Head of «Sanaly Urpaq» Council of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan to combat corruption K.A. Tokushev.

The meeting was attended by over 80 students, who had the opportunity to get answers to the questions they were interested in, including in the sphere of prevention, detection, suppression, and disclosure of corruption-related offenses. Issues of elimination of consequences of such offenses, bringing the guilty to justice, the definition of the basic principles of the fight against corruption in higher education institutions were also discussed.

The online webinar was held in the format of a constructive dialogue. The participants exchanged opinions. The webinar also included a presentation of student projects dedicated to anti-corruption work. Based on the results of the webinar, recommendations were adopted and a further work plan was defined.
