Doctoral student of the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi Naukenova Altynay became the winner of the competition "Scientific internships in the laboratories of the world" of the Program of scientific internships in the world laboratories - 2020 of the Shakhmardan Yessenov Science and Education Foundation.
The program provides 17 grants for summer internships in the leading scientific and research laboratories of the world for up to 3 months and is aimed at supporting talented Kazakhstani students and active researchers who wish to obtain a PhD degree and engage in scientific activities in Kazakhstan in the future.
Altynai Naukenova passed all stages of the competitive selection with dignity, in which 212 people participated, and was among the 14 winners of the competition that received a grant.
The grant was $ 7,500.
Under the terms of the competition, out of 17 grants, 10 were allocated to 2-3 year undergraduate students, 7 - to final year undergraduate students, 1-2-year Master’s students, and active research specialists.
Doctoral student of the Department of Mechanics Altynai Naukenova plans to use the grant for an internship at Khalifa University (KUSTAR) in Abu Dhabi, to conduct experimental research in the laboratories of the university on the topic of the doctoral dissertation "Chemical methods of enhanced oil recovery".
