For all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) formulated by the United Nations until 2030, the university's indicators were dominant. To date, no Kazakhstani university has reached such an indicator.
The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings (THE IR) analyzed the activities of 1,115 universities around the world. The world ranking is designed to assess the implementation of the sustainable development goals of higher education institutions.
The list of 17 goals identified by the UN includes: the elimination of poverty and hunger; healthy lifestyle; the quality of education; gender equality; rational use of water resources; clean water and sanitation for all; access to energy sources; decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation, infrastructure and other requirements.
Thus, KazNU ensures economic, social and ecological balance.
