ALL LIFE DEDICATED TO KAZAKH JOURNALISM

Today, at the Faculty of Journalism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, within the framework of the 1st Kenzhalin Readings, the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference "Information Processes in Kazakhstani Society: Management and Marketing of Mass Media and PR" was held.

The scientific meeting was attended by public and state leaders, foreign and domestic scientists, heads and correspondents of the media, teachers and students.

The board with the participation of the rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev was dedicated to the memory of the famous scientist, writer-publicist, candidate of political sciences, teacher Zhumabek Kenzhalin, who laid the foundations of the theory and practice of information management in Kazakhstan. Opening the conference, acting Vice-Rector for Social Development Aliya Masalimova noted that the famous writer left a noticeable mark on Kazakh journalism.

State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Krymbek Kusherbayev sent a special letter in support of the initiative aimed at studying the heritage of the scientist-practitioner. “Being a talented publicist, Zhumabek Kenzhalin directed a number of republican publications and systematically engaged in science, researching the social and political sphere. The fundamental work of the famous researcher "Questions of political management and press relations with the public", as well as scientific and methodological developments on information management and marketing today serve as an excellent help for specialists in this field and young scientists, "the letter says.

Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva also wished success in the work of the conference, noting in her message: “Zhumabek Omarovich is a famous writer who devoted his entire adult life to the development of Kazakh journalism, went through all stages of professional growth. He began his career in the "Socialist Kazakhstan", worked with dignity in the magazine "Education and Labor", in the "People's Council". After he put “Kazakh gazetteeri” on its feet and headed the editorial board for almost twenty years, the social and creative activity of an outstanding person became a model for future writers.

The organizational board of the event also received congratulatory letters from the chairman of the International Information Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Abdrakhmanov, the chairman of the Polish-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pyotr Guzovsky. Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, Meyrambek Tolepbergen, Zhanarbek Ashimzhan and other famous personalities shared their memories of the talented organizer of the Kazakh press, the famous scientist-journalist Zhumabek Kenzhalin. The outstanding figure was an example of a professional perseverance that bore fruit, contributing to the development of the media in accordance with the requirements of the times.

During the meeting, topical and key issues of modern journalism were discussed, ways of effective use of information resources and increasing their productivity were studied.
