Within the walls of the University of Al-Farabi KazNU, a meeting of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev with Doctor of Technical Sciences Daulet Sheikh-Ali-Tynyshpaev - the son of one of the founders of "Alash Orda", a historian, an active participant in the design and construction of Turkestan was held. Welcoming the honored guest, the rector of the university congratulated him on his 90th birthday. Noting the merits of Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev to the Fatherland, he stressed that the name of the first Kazakh engineer and public figure was inscribed in the history of Kazakhstan in golden letters. May 12 marks 142 years since the birth of a prominent public and political figure Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev. Daulet Sheikh-Ali-Tynyshpaev often comes to his father's homeland, Zhetysu, to honor his memory.

The head of the university stressed that the 150th anniversary of M. Tynyshpayev will be celebrated at a high level and widely covered. In turn, Daulet Sheikh-Ali-Tynyshpaev, who took the surname of his great-grandfather on his mother's side at the instruction of his father, spoke about his life and shared his memories of the famine in the Voronezh region, where his father was exiled. Daulet Sheikh-Ali-Tynyshpaev was born in 1931. He remembered the bright moments of childhood, communication with his father, who taught his son the Russian language and inspired him that he would be an engineer. “My mother used to trade things for food to support my father. It was a terrible time. We often published in the UFU and the mother's relatives welcomed us. Since childhood, I have been designing aeromodels and have won prizes in competitions in Bashkiria more than once. And this prompted me to choose a technical specialty. I graduated from a technical institute and worked in the oil industry for half a century, defended my thesis and received a doctorate in technical sciences, ”Daulet Sheikh-Ali-Tynyshpayev shared fragments of his biography. In addition, the Doctor of Technical Sciences taught at many universities in Kazakhstan, and his children and grandchildren now live and work in the United States. For the past two years, due to the pandemic, he also lived in the United States, and now he lives in Ufa (Bashkortostan).

At the end of the meeting, the 90-year-old birthday boy was put on a chapan and presented with gifts and souvenirs.
