ATHLETES OF THE KAZNU IN THE LEADERS

At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, within the framework of the XI Summer Universiade among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, beach volleyball competitions have ended.

The strongest athletes from 23 universities of the country took part in the competition among students.

In the final of the tournament, the men's and women's teams of KazNU named after Al-Farabi won victories over the team of EKSTU named after Serikbayev. The teams of the East Kazakhstan State Technical University took the 2nd place, the honorable third place was won by the teams of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.

The winners, students of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Alexander Izmailov and Alexander Ketiladze, thanked their coaches for their excellent preparation for the competition and noted: “Our victory is our duty. And we couldn't lose. "

Director General of the Almaty branch of the National Scientific and Practical Center of Physical Culture of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the main organizer of the Universiade Zoya Aitbaeva congratulated all the winners and their mentors, and expressed confidence that the country will have a great future with such talented and educated youth.

On the basis of KazNU, competitions in badminton, swimming, chess, presidential all-around, archery, athletics, volleyball continue, as well as competitions in mini-football, fencing and table tennis. In total, teams from 50 universities compete in the Universiade.

The closing ceremony of the Universiade and the awarding of the winners will take place on June 9 in Turkestan.
