THE RESTORED HERITAGE OF THE OUTSTANDING TURKOLOGIST GUBAYDULLA AIDAROV
6/21/2021The scientific library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical online conference "Turkology and Gubaidulla Aydarov", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great Turkologist.
The works of Honored Scientist of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology G. Aydarov, dedicated to the monuments of writing of Tonikuk and Kul-tegin, Bilge-Kagan, including "The language of the Orkhon monuments of ancient Turkic writing of the VIII century", today are the desk books of young scientists who study runic writing and history Kazakh language.
The event was organized by Al-Farabi KazNU and the International Turkic Academy. Welcoming the guests and participants of the conference, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the enormous contribution of Gubaidulla Aydarov to the formation and development of Turkology. The scientist studied the history of the Kazakh language at the Institute of Linguistics of the Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and participated in the creation of Turkology as a scientific direction in Kazakhstan. He was the first Kazakh scientist who studied the previously untouched branch of Kazakh linguistics, who discovered the secrets of the ancient Turkic written heritage.
G. Aydarov explored all regions of Kazakhstan, ancient burial mounds of Mongolia, Altai and conducted research of the Turkic writing in the framework of scientific expeditions led by famous Kazakh scientists A. Margulan, A. Medoev, K. Satpayev. Since 1960, the scientist has been studying the lexical and grammatical features of the language of the Orkhon monuments of the 8th century and saw its connection with the modern Kazakh language. He paid special attention to the Orkhon-Yenisei and Talas inscriptions and proved that these written monuments are evidence of a highly developed civilization and culture of the Turks that existed in ancient times. Having completely devoted himself to this scientific subject, he wrote 20 books and more than 250 scientific works, including 10 monographs and textbooks for universities.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of G. Aidarov's work "The Language of the Orkhon Monuments of the Ancient Türkic Writing of the VIII century", which was published 50 years ago and managed to get into the category of book rarities, was held.
The event was also attended by: President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali, prominent Turkologist Osman Fikri Sertkaya, Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nizami Jafarov, Professor of the Kyrgyz University named after Manas Kadyrali Konkobaev, Director of the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Firdaus Khisamitdinova, Director NII KazNU named after Abai Zhangara Dadebaev KazNU, Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynova Anar Fazylzhanova, wife of G. Aidarov, Honored Teacher of Kazakhstan Balzhan Samigullakyzy, as well as the children of a scientist, famous scientists and public figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
G. Aydarov's works are currently being studied not only in the universities of our country, but also in the universities of Berlin, Sofia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It was noted that Gubaidulla Aydarov proved the kinship of the Turkic-speaking peoples, and the fact that the foundations of the modern Kazakh language were formed long before our era, and even writing existed in ancient times immemorial.
