COOPERATION WITH HUNGARY UNIVERSITIES IS STRENGTHENED

Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Consul General of Hungary in Almaty Ferenc Blauman, discussing promising areas of cooperation between countries in the field of science and education.

Welcoming the diplomat, the head of the university Zh.K. Tuimebayev noted the long-standing relationship between Kazakhstan and Hungary, which needs to be strengthened and developed. KazNU today cooperates with seven universities in Hungary, including the Universities of Applied Sciences named after Janos Kodolani, Obuda, Szeged, Western Hungary, Shoppon, the Catholic named after Peter Pazman, as well as the College. Esterhazy Karoy. During the meeting, the rector of the university spoke about the scientific, innovative and educational activities and achievements of the university students.

During the meeting, discussing bilateral cooperation in the field of education, science and culture, the parties agreed on the importance of further development of double-degree programs and educational exchange between universities in Hungary and KazNU, which will contribute to strengthening ties between universities of the two countries.

In turn, the Consul General of Hungary in Almaty Ferenc Blauman thanked the leadership of KazNU for their hospitality. Having highly appreciated the level of comfort and equipment of the university campus, the Consul General expressed interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with the country's leading university, which has great opportunities and development prospects.

The parties also discussed issues of strengthening scientific ties in the field of Turkology, archeology, medical education, exchanged views and agreed to develop other priority areas of cooperation.

It should be emphasized that 38 students were trained in Hungarian universities under the academic mobility program for the 2018-2021 academic years, seven doctoral students of KazNU, 20 university teachers visited Hungarian universities, participating in various conferences, refresher courses, implementing joint projects.
