A COMPREHENSIVE ANTI-CORRUPTION PLAN SIGNED

In KazNU named after Al-Farabi, the Chairman of the Board-Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the head of the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty M.D. Akhmetov.

During the meeting, the rector of the university Zh.K. Tuimebayeva noted that in April 2018, on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU, within the framework of the scientific and educational cluster for the formation of anti-corruption consciousness and culture, the Research Institute of Anti-Corruption Technologies was created.

One of the sectoral projects in the field of education of the Agency for Combating Corruption of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the Republican Project Office "Sanaly Urpaq". As a result of the joint work of KazNU and the project office, significant results have been achieved.

In order to form an anti-corruption culture, the Republican Project Office "Sanaly urpaq" and the Research Institute of "Anti-Corruption Technologies" of Al-Farabi KazNU prepared methodological recommendations on teaching the principles of integrity and honesty, on the formation of an anti-corruption culture for each target group of education, developed and implemented methodological recommendations to conduct an internal analysis of corruption risks in educational institutions.

Also, a multimedia electronic textbook "Fundamentals of combating corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was prepared, which is widely used in the educational process. Released a cartoon animated film for primary schoolchildren "The Tale of a Respectable City".

The anti-corruption standard of the university, the Code of Academic Integrity, the Regulation on the Compliance Service of the University have been developed and implemented. A draft Regulation on the anti-corruption commission of the university has been developed.

KazNU named after Al-Farabi was among the first to open the store of honesty "Adaldyk dakeni", the school of integrity "Parasat".

This year, for the first time, the university initiated an Anti-Corruption Compliance School for students jointly with the Sanaly Urpaq Republican Project Office, in which about 500 students will take part. They will gain knowledge in the field of anti-corruption compliance.

In turn, the head of the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the city of Almaty, Murat Akhmetov, noted the high personnel potential of the university, expressed hope for the continuation of successful mutually beneficial cooperation on the formation of anti-corruption culture and consciousness. As a result of the meeting, a comprehensive anti-corruption plan was signed by the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for the 2021-2022 academic year within the framework of the Sanaly urpaq project.

During his visit, the head of the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency in Almaty got acquainted with the work of the Situational Management Center, DSP "Keremet", and also visited the Faculty of Law and the Republican Project Office "Sanaly Urpaq", where he met with university students.
