VETERANS RENDERED SOCIAL HELP

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a number of events dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons and provided social assistance to the older generation.

The university congratulated the members of the KazNU Council of Elders who made a significant contribution to the development of the alma mater. They are the laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the K. Satpayev Prize, Professor Zulkhayr Mansurov, Professors Utegali Shedenov, Berikbai Sagyndykuly, Azhar Zhubanova and other prominent figures who made a huge contribution. The main purpose of this day is to honor and thank the veteran teachers who have made a significant contribution to the development of education and science, as well as to draw public attention to the problems and difficulties older people face in their daily life.

In this regard, a group of students of the volunteer organization "Kumek" KazNU named after Al-Farabi congratulated the elderly on the holiday and provided assistance to eight lonely pensioners living in Bostandyk region. Volunteers brought the necessary things from the store, put things in order, cleaned the house, swept the yard and handed over grocery baskets as material aid. As the chairman of the trade union of students and undergraduates "Sunkar" of KazNU Bagdaulet Nuriddin said - "The purpose of these events is to educate moral qualities and spiritual values, to develop the continuity of generations," and noted that students of KazNU actively participate in charitable events and provide support and assistance -vulnerable segments of the city's population.

Also, students and teachers, members of the trade union of workers "Parasat" KazNU named after Al-Farabi will visit the nursing home No. 3 in Almaty. They will congratulate the residents of the house on the holidays and present them with a concert program prepared by the amateur art activities of the trade union of students and undergraduates "Sunkar". Representatives of the University of KazNU will hand over social baskets to pensioners.
