MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ELDERS

The annual meeting of the Council of Elders was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuymebaev and members of the Council of Elders. The participants summed up the results of the outgoing year and identified priority tasks for 2022.

Opening the meeting, the rector of the university dwelled on the main events and achievements of the university for the current year. According to Zhanseit Tuymebaev, important, significant events are held within the walls of the university to develop and strengthen the image of the university not only at the state, but also at the global level.

“Recently, our university was visited by the ex-president of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul. During his working visit, the distinguished guest gave a lecture to students and shared his many years of experience in the political sphere.

Recently, a forum of young entrepreneurs was held, which brought together well-known businessmen. Also, this year, the educational buildings are being renovated. The offices were overhauled, the auditoriums were renewed. In addition, the salary of all employees of the university has doubled, ”the head of the university emphasized.

In addition, the rector of the university noted that in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, a 2-volume book "Innovative projects of KazNU" was published. In this regard, Zhanseit Tuymebaev emphasized that it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of university science, including innovative projects.

“Scientific research should be a priority. We need to develop and release our domestic products and new techniques. This requires qualified specialists. You, too, can attract experienced, leading scientists and teachers. ”- said the head of the university.

The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, an exchange of views and proposals on the development of the university took place. Members of the Council of Elders asked questions, put forward new ideas to raise the image of the university.
