TRAINING IN THE SPECIALTY "TURKOLOGY" IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosts an international conference "Independent Kazakhstan in the world space of scientific research", timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev, scientists and professors from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Hungary.

Opening the conference, Zhanseit Tuimebayev made a welcoming speech. In his speech, the head of the university noted that over the past ten years, the interstate cooperation of the Turkic-speaking states has entered a new stage of development. The content of education in higher education institutions changes over time.

“During the period of independent Kazakhstan, training in the specialty“ Turkology ”was a great achievement. Today, at the Al-Farabi KazNU, the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyov, the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasaui train specialists in the educational program "Turkology". The purpose of today's conference is to give a new direction to researchers of the Kazakh language, literature, folklore, history, ethnography, ”said the rector.

During the conference, the common values and history of the Turkic-speaking peoples were discussed. For example, Suir Eker, a professor at the Bashkent University, expressed the opinion that “it is time for the Turkic-speaking states to unite”. “Our ancestors spoke the same common language. This is evidenced by the inscriptions on the monuments of Orkhon, Yenisei. The entire Turkic people are united by historical roots and common interests. We respect each other and are always friendly. Therefore, we must popularize our shared values. This is important for all of us, ”he said.

In addition, scientists and professors from other countries expressed their opinions. The conference participants, noting the relevance and importance of this international meeting, expressed great hope that this event will become traditional.
