Qazaq radiosy week was held in KazNU

In honor of the 100th anniversary of legendary radio, a week of master classes entitled "QAZAQ RADIOSY" - Chronicle of the Century: HISTORY, DEVELOPMENT AND FUTURE was held by the Department of Print and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The rich program of the week included presentations of the book and photo exhibition "Spiritual Basis of Kazakhstan - Kazakh Radio", "Voice of the Nation" and master classes by Qazaq radiosy journalists and teachers of the Faculty of Journalism, who at different times worked at the legendary radio station and published scientific works about radio.

On the first day of this week Nalibay Gulmira Adilkhankyzy, a radiohost and editor, an excellent specialist in the sphere of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a master class entitled "Content and artistic quality of live music programs". As part of the master class, Gulmira Adilkhankyzy told future journalists about the role of music in increasing the effectiveness of radio programs, as well as about the specifics of live broadcasting.

Zhanar Orazymbet, a journalist, an excellent specialist in the field of information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of a master class entitled "The essence of personalities on the radio, methods of preparing portrait programs and news," noted that “when revealing the portrait of individuals, it is not enough to tell about his biography and professional activities, such monotonous programs are not interesting to the audience. The mastery and skills of a journalist are shown during the interview, when there is an opportunity to reveal the character of the hero, to show his hitherto unknown sides of personality. Having become the voice of the Great Steppe "Kazakh radio" and radio "Shalkar" are the basis of national spirituality, Kazakh culture and art.

Bolatbek Tolepbergen, director of Radio Shalkar, who conducted the master class on the third day of the week, spoke about its activities. The hosts of the programs broadcast around the clock about the traditions, customs, language, religion and culture of our country. Students listened to the voices of Mustafa Shokay and Mukagali Makatayev of the Golden Fund.    

Children's programs as an independent genre have its own characteristics. Gulbagysh Bostan shared her professional advice in this area in order to improve journalistic skills with the students. She told about the knowledge and skills required for the radio host and editor of children's programs.

The results of the week of master classes were summed up by the lead editor Ongar Kuralov, who shared his opinion and ideas about the culture of speech and purity of language on the air, about the importance of issues of "Golden Fund". As examples worthy of emulation, he let the students listen to the recordings of scholar Rabiga Syzdykova, poet Orazakyn Askar.

The program of the week was supplemented by lectures from KazNU professors: Professor Klara Kabylgazina ("Dauir Uni"), Associate Professor Abdizhadilkyzy Zhidegul ("Chronicle of Independence on Kazakh Radio"), PhD Dr. Zarina Kairatkyzy ("Basic tools required to launch a podcast")

Thus, the week dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Voice of the Nation - Kazakh Radio is over. During the week, the students of the Faculty of Journalism got acquainted with many facts from the history of Kazakh radio and gained a lot of experience.

At the closing ceremony of the week, Vlastimil Samek, a representative of the UN Global Communications Department, took part and made a congratulatory speech. Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Sansyzbay Madiev, noting that cooperation and mutual exchange of experience between the faculty and Qazaq radiosy will continue in the future, presented souvenirs from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to journalists who conducted master classes.
