INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION "MEDIA NAURUZ" STARTED

The international competition for press services and journalists of universities and scientific institutions of the Greater Altai and Central Asia "Media-Nauruz" started at the Altai State University (Russia, Barnaul). The jury included representatives of Al-Farabi KazNU.

The organizer of the competition was the Scientific and Educational Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies "Greater Altai" together with the Association of Asian Universities and the Guild of Interethnic Journalism.

"Media-Nauruz" is held within the framework of the project "The Turkic World of the Greater Altai: Unity and Diversity in History and Modernity" with the aim of popularizing the topics of Altaic and Turkic studies in the media space of the Greater Altai and Central Asia and strengthening international information cooperation between universities and scientific institutions of Russia, Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries of the Central Asian region.

The authoritative jury includes: General Director of the TV channel "Big Asia" Alexander Lebedev, Professor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin Gulmira Dzhunushalieva, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek Makhlia Mirsoatova, Academician of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio , professor of political science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Layla Akhmetova and others.

The winner will receive a nominal prize of the head of the project "Turkic World of Greater Altai", President of the Altai State University, Professor Sergei Zemlyukov. The best journalists and press service employees will be awarded free participation in advanced training courses from Altai State University under the program "Ethnoculture and modern art practices of the regions of the Greater Altai", "Methods for peer review of communication products" or "Fundamentals of DataScience and data visualization in Python" .
