ALLOWS TO KNOW NEURAN NETWORKS

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in cooperation with Samsung has developed a free online course on neural networks and computer vision in the Kazakh language on the educational platform Stepik.

A group of scientists and teachers of KazNU headed by Edilkhan Amirgaliyev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of NAS RK, together with Samsung Research Russia, developed a Kazakh version of the course "Neural Networks and Computer Vision".

The new course is available to everyone. This machine is designed for people who are just starting to master the field of computer vision through teaching methods. The course begins with the basics of neural networks. Then the basic architectures and algorithms for configuring neural networks, convulsive neural networks, methods of systematization and normalization are studied. In addition to lectures, students improve their knowledge through eight practical seminars. It includes machine learning and computer vision tools, ways to solve basic problems. At the end of the course students will be able to perform complex practical tasks.

Since October 2021, a group of students of the Faculty of Information Technology of KazNU under the guidance of senior lecturer of KazNU Zholdas Buribayev is studying on the track "Artificial Intelligence". Currently, 20 students have successfully completed a new course in the Kazakh language and have begun to develop a final project on computer vision.

Partner of the social and educational project "Samsung IT Academy" for universities of KazNU. As part of this, the course "Artificial Intelligence" became available to students of the Faculty of Information Technology. In addition, the online course "Neural Networks and Computer Vision" on the Stepik platform will be taught.
