THE FACULTY OF BIOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY COOPERATES WITH THE TOP FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES

7/15/2022

Currently, the Faculty consists of four departments: Biodiversity and BioResources, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience.

There is a bio clinic and an Agrobio station, a experimental platform that helps to proceed the theoretical knowledge into real practice. The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology has more than 1,834 students, 309 undergraduates and 147 PhD doctoral students. A team of highly qualified professors and researchers takes part in the training of specialists, comprising 4 academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 30 doctors of Sciences, 80 candidates of Sciences, 24 PhD doctors.

Due to their active international activities of the Faculty professors there is a great opportunity for academic mobility to study at the leading research centers and universities of the world, as well as to gain valuable experience through dual diploma programs (Isa Lille (France), Oxford, Belgorod State University, University of Salento (Italy) and etc.
