PROSPECTS OF COOPERATION WERE DISCUSSED

Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the founder and President of the “Foundation for Exchange and Cooperation among Civilizations” Imam Mohammad Bashar Arafat. At the meeting, the parties discussed certain perspectives of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The distinguished guest thanked the university administration for their hospitality and informed about the activities of the foundation. Its main mission is to promote peace and cooperation between Muslims and people of different religious denominations. Imam Mohammad Bashar Arafat also spoke about how religious and cultural trainings in this area and inter-faith conferences are held. Mohammad Bashar Arafat expressed his intention to continue the promising project at the leading university of Kazakhstan.

The Rector also informed the guest of honor about the achievements of KazNU, and invited Imam Mohammad Bashar Arafat as a guest lecturer.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to consider all proposals on topical areas of cooperation.
