ACADEMICIAN RAKHMAN ALSHANOV’S 75TH ANNIVERSARY

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in a conference dedicated to the professional and scientific activities of the scientist, Rector of Turan University, Doctor of Economics, Academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rakhman Alshanov.

The event brought together statesmen, intellectuals, professors and students. The audience noted his huge contribution to the development of education and science of the country.

Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that the birthday of the academician is a special event not only for Turan University, but also for the Kazakh National University. "The life path of Rakhman Alshanov is closely connected with the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. For many years Rakhman Alshanuly worked together with the founder of the "KazNU Campus", the rector of the university Omirbek Zholdasbekov and made a great contribution to the formation of the university. As a student, he headed the student construction team and took part in the construction of the university campus. R. Alshanov began his career as a teacher at the Department of Economics, then he was appointed dean of the Faculty. He managed to prove himself as a hardworking person and a highly qualified specialist. Today Rakhman Alshanovich is a member of the Board of Directors of KazNU. He always supports us and participates in all our events," Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated.

At the end of his speech, the head of the university presented the hero of the day with the “Al-Farabi” gold medal for a significant contribution to the development of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
