RECTOR OF KAZNU TOOK PART IN THE "DIGITAL BRIDGE" INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FORUM

"Digital Bridge" the international technology forum was held in Astana with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The event was attended by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smilov, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, heads of government agencies, business structures, domestic and international experts.

During the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was told about the activities of the Astana Hub IT ecosystem, the implementation of a joint program with Google for Startups, the project of the Alem programming school and the “Qazaqstan Halqyna” Foundation. Then the President got acquainted with the projects presented at the startup alley. Some of them have already entered not only domestic, but also foreign markets. In particular, a new generation of aviation software for regional airlines Farel, an online supermarket Arbuz, an artificial intelligence plant Zypl.ai , secure travel companion service for children and women UvU Ridesharing, smart parking service Parqour, FIBO Cloud service, Intebix crypto exchange were presented to the Head of State.

The Head of State reviewed the results of attracting international IT companies Blockchain, Playrix, EPAM, inDriver to Kazakhstan and process of digitalization of public services. In particular, th e parties discussed such digital solutions as the geoanalytic platform of Astana, E-gov health, Social Wallet and digital family card, Vet Mobile, E-Salyq Business, Online auction for the sale of land plots and registration of real estate transactions and the Unified Platform of Subsoil Users KazNedra.

Then the President delivered a speech at the plenary session of the Digital Bridge forum. Welcoming the participants, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that the annual Digital Bridge forum has turned into a large and popular regional platform in four years.

The President highlighted that according to experts' forecasts, in ten years up to 70% of products and services in the world will be based on digital platform models. Under these conditions, Kazakhstan has set a strategic task to become one of the largest digital hubs in the Eurasian space. The Head of State stressed that today our country was placed in the top 30 of the rating of the most digitized UN states, ahead of many developed countries. Nevertheless, there is a lot of work to be done on further digital transformation of Kazakhstan.
